Sorry to report that David passed away after a short but terrible illness. Funnily enough I now own the Bamboo bar which I have completely refurbished and is now known as the Look Thai Dee Restaurant serving Thai & Western food as well as a couple of bars serving bottled & draught beer.

We have a home directly behind the Aqua Park site which is close to Bang Wad Reservoir, I spoke to what appeared to be a business man on the site who said the construction will be finished in December of this year 2009 but as we all know this is open to speculation. This was in May of this year and there was plenty of construction activity going on then.
I spoke to Dave (Bamboo Bar) in May as his bar was closed, sadly Dave was very ill and ready to go in hospital for an operation.
Perhaps you could have a beer there and update me if Dave still has it.

Nope no sign of that – I know it is being delayed – yet again – and I think it is probably going to be near the water ski park in Kathu rather than near the dam. Latest idea is for an opening in December 2009 but personally I would expect that date to be very optimistic!

Great to see your post – thank you very much. When I get a minute from travelling, fixing computers, meeting friends in Bangkok and holidaying over Songkran in Nakon Si Thammarat I will sort out linking back to you of course and take a look through your posts too – just been so busy!
